Short Bio

New Orleans native Ben Bensen is a graduate from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Advertising, and went on to pursue another degree in illustration from The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. I am currently painting in oils and acrylic from my home in Folsom, LA.

Statement

I am an artist 24/7. I've been into creating visuals whether it is in the commercial world in LA, SF or NYC or locally here in the New Orleans area since 1972 which was my first paying job.

Biography

New Orleans native Ben Bensen is a graduate from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Advertising, and went on to pursue another degree in illustration from The Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. 

No matter what the medium is, Ben helps agencies visualize, and sell their ideas. His clients range from the auto industry like Acura, Toyota, Lexus, and Honda, to entertainment companies like Paramount, MGM, ESPN, Disney, and EA Games, and from aerospace companies like Lockheed/Martin, and McDonnell/Douglas, to consumer products like Nestle's, Frito-Lay, McDonalds, Yamaha, Sanyo, and Sony."

Ben is a former board member of the Graphic Artists Guild/LA, a tenured member of the Society of Illustrators/LA, as well as the chairperson for the Southern California chapter of the U.S. Air Force Art Program with paintings hanging in the Air Force wing of the Pentagon. Currently living and painting in Folsom, LA, Ben spent most of his career as a presentation artist for a variety of clients.
